Will you go Ga Ga over the New Radio Bar?

The famed Radio Bar in Mumbai is back in a new avatar.

Radio Bar

From the moment you walk in to the reburbished Radio Bar on the bustling Linking Road in Mumbai, you notice that owner Nikhil Merani has spared no efforts in making it look larger than life and larger than it actually is.

Which is nice!

Every corner of the place oozes style with a marked ode to the beautiful retro era gone by. Right from the grey trellis wall and a gigantic radio logo, to the black and white geometric flooring, distinctive wall art and namesake radios that shine bright, Radio Bar is a time machine which transports you right back to the Eighties and maybe, even a decade or two before.

Cottage Cheese Bao

But its not just the interiors which have gotten a make-over!

Chef Rohan D’souza – the in-house culinary director has done a nice job of uplifting the menu as well by catering to innovative contemporary tastes of all palates and flavours.

Some of the must-try dishes include the sinful Singapore black pepper pork belly (slow roasted to perfection), Portuguese Chicken Cafreal, Prawn Balcao with steamed rice and Goan Ras Omelette Pav.

For the ardent vegetarians, Pumpkin and Goat Cheese Risotto and Creamy Paprika Mushroom Ciabatta are a must-have.

Whiskey Sour

And finally, the alcohol menu has been overhauled as well. One must try out the extensive range of exclusive cocktails, right from Billie Gin and the Tequira Tequira that will make you sway and slay.
