Mumbai’s biggest fashion and creative institute INIFD Borivali showcased designs by their fashion design students in the first edition of their fashion show called Layer’M 2019.
The fact that India will be a fashion super-power within the next decade – on par with Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo – is seen in the avant-garde and futuristic creations which students of fashion design preview at their graduating shows.
And never has this been more evident than at Layer’M 2019 – the fashion preview held by the graduating students of INIFD in Borivali.
The collections were defined by electrifying florescent colours & vibrant textures which transcend the boundaries of convention and give the wearer an attitude of freedom through experimentation, thereby rejecting the mainstream in favour of the unique.
The theme for Layer’M 2019 was Aurora – The Northern Lights. Aurora, also known as, Polar Lights, is a natural display of lights seen in higher latitudes which are created due to charged particles combined with solar winds.
The beautifully lit display of colours was chosen as the theme for the year to illustrate different layers and shades of colours.
