Inspired by the vibrancy and lifestyle of Cuba, Dhruv Vaish from New Delhi presents “Cubano” for spring-summer 2017 .
“Cuba is a magnificent and mesmerizing country – an amalgamation of various cultures,” says Dhruv Vaish. “I have incorporated various aspects of its cultural diverseness through bold vibrant prints and geometric patterns that form an integral part of the collection,” he reveals.
There is a strong military influence in terms of structured silhouettes and this is juxtaposed with relaxed easy fluid shirts and bottoms. Cuban eclecticism is seen with the mix of fabrics in the form of crisp cottons and light linens which are ideal for summer.
We particularly love the pastel colour palette of light olive, teal ( which is contrasted with military maroon) and camouflage gray.
