“Find your tribe,” says designer Ken Ferns about his head-turning and colourful resort wear collection.
“I have developed some really snazzy prints and my silhouettes are what a “Ken Ferns” line should be –
bold, show-stopping, attractive, gutsy and glamorous,” says designer Ken Ferns of his latest resort wear collection for men and women.
Ken is one of the few Indian designers who painstakingly designs his own prints with focused attention to detail and placement on his silhouettes.
This collection – called Fernweh – is all about “Finding your tribe!” he exclaims.
The theme at the core of this vibrant collection is about “belonging”.
“It’s about belonging, settling and finding oneself, through various moods, cultures and tribes. The human race has so many diversities, and most often people are just trying to fit in. This collection reflects on the fact of self acceptance and belongingness. Each of us belong and one must “Find your Tribe” by taking nuances from tribes of the world,” explains the maverick designer.
In his collection, Ken has been inspired by many indigenous tribes and hence, you will see glimpses of the Aztec, Zulu, Mayan, Mexican, Indian and Persian tribal and art forms.
“Each piece is an amalgamation of these tribes to create a one-of-a-kind look in itself. It’s the vibe that makes your tribe, your people and your space,” he says as philosophically.
And yes, we agree!
