Designer Pawan Sachdeva from New Delhi has explored his untamed desires to create a whole new vocabulary for the modern urban dresser in 2017.
Pawan Sachdeva’s collection for spring / summer 17 is defined by bespoke craftsmanship, modern construction and dexterous surface techniques which include sharp laser cut-work and tie and dye. Almost every ensemble is graphically highlighted with a mixture of texturing techniques like embossing, cut work and colour blocking.
Being a summer line, Pawan has kept his colour palette muted in tomes of marble white, pewter, slate, azure and raven. His silhouettes are cut from organic textiles, pure cottons and twill blends.
Says the designer, “My collection is strong on easy-going layering which include pieces like statement bombers, light summer jackets, biker jackets et al.”
Pawan’s fashion show at Amazon India Fashion Week was styled by Umesh Jivnani.
