Designers Rohit Kamra and Samant Chauhan open their flagship boutiques in Mumbai.
Menswear fashion designer, Rohit Kamra has opened the doors to his swanky new flagship store right behind the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai’s tony Colaba neighbourhood.
Hailing from Jaipur, his menswear collections are an amalgamation of international trends, Victorian traditions and Indian royalty.
Continuing his commitment to explore classic tailoring & signature silhouettes that epitomises Indian royalty and glamour, Rohit hopes to bring a piece of Jaipur (his home ground) to the city of Mumbai.
Since his fashion debut in 2007, Rohit has reinvented the look of classic silhouettes and has redefined the Jodhpuri bandhgalas and breeches. At his Mumbai store, Rohit Kamra offers a very interesting take on fusing the vintage look with modern fabrics and bespoke designs to showcase the opulence of the royal dynasties.
The store offers bespoke services with a range of shirts, half jackets, breeches and bandhgalas, all with a touch of detailing that makes the garment stand out from the vast sea of uniformly dressed men.
Samant Chauhan, on the other hand, through this store, continues to build on showcasing collections that preserve the influence of his native Bhagalpuri silk. Featuring a range of gowns and indo-western outfits for women where each garment is hand woven and adorned with the finest embroideries that bring out quality in Indian craftsmanship.
