Last weekend, the terrace lawns of the Taj Landsend Hotel inMumbai came alive with pulsating music and vivid couture ensembles at a fashion show by the graduating students of Mumbai’s FAD International fashion school.

The funky modern day silhouettes were interlaced with futuristic elements and colours of space, bold touches of androgyny, clashing elements of textiles and exaggerated sleeves.

An intriguing mix of colours, semi conventional cuts and abstractions came together to form capsule collections augmented by splashes of architectural capes, coats and jackets along with playful styles in asymmetric forms. A veritable variety of fabrics and textures coursed the runway, creating a moving sight.

The show was preceded by an event which saw FAD International host Scouting for India 2019 for emerging talents. This marks the second edition of the Vogue Talents X FAD International Academy, an initiative by the academy which aims at giving Indian fashion sustained global visibility on the international stage.

The #ScoutingforIndia platform is created with a goal to celebrate homegrown creativity and aims to open doors for Indian photographers, fashion designers and stylists to make Indian fashion globally accessible.
